Anhui is a province of the People's Republic of China, and is part of the East China region. Anhui is located across the basins of the Yangtze River and the Huai River, and borders Jiangsu to the east, Zhejiang to the southeast, Jiangxi to the south, Hubei to the southwest, Henan to the northwest, and Shandong for a tiny section in the north.

Hefei is Located between the Yangtze River and Huaihe River, and Hefei is the capital city of Anhui Province.
Hefei is Covering an area of 7,266 square kilometers (about 2,805 square miles),
and is the key tourist city of the whole Anhui province and a good starting point for understanding
the brilliant Anhui culture.
The ancient Hefei City,
with a long history of over 2,000 years, was also nicknamed 'Luzhou' or
'Luyang' because it was under the governance of Luzhou prefecture in the
Ming dynasty (1368 - 1644) and Qing dynasty (1644 -
1911). Hefei city is the
political, economic and cultural center of Anhui Province and has played
an important role in commercial transactions since ancient times. Due
to its good surroundings and long history, many natural and cultural
places of interests can be found in Anhui Province. One of the most famous is
undoubtedly the Memorial Temple of Lord
Bao.

Hefei is a beautiful city with good surroundings - the Huaihe River flows to
the north, to the south is Yangtze River, and to the south- east lies
the Chaohu Lake with expansive blue waters. It exemplifies the good climate to be
found in the area having a mild climate with clearly defined seasons and
moderate rainfall.

watch the performances of the Lu Opera. Lu Opera is a popular local
opera in Hefei City.
Best tourist Season of Hefei
With four distinct seasons Hefei has a subtropical
monsoon climate. The coldest month is January and the hottest month is
July. The annual average temperature is 15.7C (60.26 F). Rainfalls always appear
during summer time. And temperature varies a lot both in spring and
autumn, while winter is cold in Hefei. The best time to visit Hefei is
April to October. The weather during those months is good and the
natural sceneries are most beautiful.

The nightlife in Hefei had been
gradually becoming more vibrant and modern. Apart from bars and clubs,
there emerges a number of integrated "entertainment cities" which
including KTV, cultural shows, billiards and dance floors as well as
restaurants.
Hefei's nightlife is centered along
Ningguo North Road, also known as Lobster Street because of the numerous
lobster restaurants located here. Bars, karaoke centers, shopping malls
and the Anhui Grand Theater all combine to perform a lively atmosphere.
Food in Hefei is belonging to the Anhui cuisine. Anhui Cuisine is one
of the famous eight cuisines in China. Located between the Yangtze River Delta
regions, dishes in Hefei are large influenced by the surrounding areas but still
remain some characteristic of it own. Special dishes in Hefei are Lord Bao Fish,
Caocao Chicken, Grape Shape Fish, Stir-Fried Shrimp and Luzhou Roast Duck.
Moreover, Li Hognzhang Hodgepodge cuisine is a must-taste cuisine in Hefei. It
is tould that this dish was an invention of the Li Hongzhang's chef once when Li
Hongzhang treated some American guests. All local foods and snacks could be
found in Ning guo road and Xuancheng road
Anhui Province Agriculture: Wheat, potatoes and other grain crops are mainly grown in north of Huaihe River and rice nad wheat in south.
Anhui Province Industry: As a
prodution base of coal and steel, Anhui's industrial system is mainly
supported by heavy industries like coal, metallurgy, chemical and
machinery production.
Tourist Resources of Anhui Province:
Mount Huangshan and Ancient Villages in Southern Anhui Province are
listed in the World Heritage List By UNESCO.
